Shadow Shot Sunday
I like comparing the shadows of the first picture to that of the second. With the first the lines are crisper. In fact there are shadows within the shadows. I even used a drop shadow frame on the photos. :-)
The second picture has softer lighting and the shadows are muted and have little detail, but the oranges in both pictures compliment one another, don’t you think? For more shadows travel over to HeyHarriet.

Really nice photos. Shadows are so cool to look at and photograph. Nice job, Judy.
Stunning pairing of shadow shots! Beautiful detailed pattern in the first photo and the subtle lighting in the second one is magical!
What terrific shadow shots, Judy! Isn't it fun to play around with the shadows and see what different kinds you can capture? I've never had so much fun! Hope you're having a lovely weekend! Enjoy!
Sylvia
Teresa, thanks so much for the compliment. Taking shadow shots becomes addictive. :-)
Greyscale, thanks so much for your visit and support. I love your photos, so I am complimented.
Thanks and God bless.
Great contrasting photos! I love all those criss-crossing lines in the first photo and the lacy leaves in the second. Very nice!
Sylvia and Joy, thanks so much for your visits. This shadow shot Sunday is fun!
Take care & God bless!
Yes I also think they compliment each other perfectly! Even though they are very different in style. I think my fave is the top one. Love those bold crispy shadows! Hope you have a wonderful week :)
Beautiful shadows, Judy! Have a wonderful Sunday.
The shadow in the first photo is fantastic..and the leaves one is wonderful too!
Harriet, Icy and Mumsy, your comments are so welcome! Thanks much and have a fabulous day!
I love the shadow effect of the last photo. The lighting added a little drama. Looks very relaxing.
Ruthi, thanks so much for your visit.
Thanks, Lynda Howells, I truly appreciate your visit, comment, and the link. I will come visit you before deleting the comment, as I cannot keep comments with links. Google frowns on it.
Thanks again and I will return your visit. Take care & God bless.
Wherever shadows
gather, someone will notice
and snap a photo!
I was going to leave a link to my post, but then I saw your note to another poster. Since when does Google frown on links? I'd really like to know. I've never heard of such a thing. Please enlighten me! Thanks!
I so prefer the second picture. I love the hue
Magical Mystical Teacher, many of the blogs I visit have an excerpt advising not to leave links and one of my best blogging buddies knows someone whose blog was closed because of the links. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm scared enough not to take any chances. I love blogging. I will click on your avatar and visit. I love to return the visits. There is so much to see. Thanks for letting me know you were here. Now I have the pleasure of returning the visit. :-)
Middle Ditch, I was kind of drawn to that one too... ambiance?
Beautiful shadows Judy. When I enlarged the second photo is give me a little more of the photo, looks like you might have a reflection or two as well.
I'm curious about the links as well. When visiting other participants in memes I often leave a link back to the post in the comment. Other bloggers leave links back to their post in my comments as well. It is a common practice.
Also while discussing Page Ranking it seems one of the things Google looks at is links back to a post as a sign of popularity. Not quite the same as leaving a link in a comment but still involving links.
I knew Icy stopped taking links in her comments but I thought she had had some problems with spammers. Other than Icy and yourself I have never heard this mentioned before. Now you have me wondering.
I had heard someone lost their blog and I would be hurt if that happened. If they leave me a link, I check it then delete the comment. Links in our content I believe are totally different.
