I like your photos. You might try for a bit more contrast. I'm assuming that you converted these images from color.
Your right, I started w/color pics. I am addicted to picture taking and love to see the color, so doubt that I will stop taking color photos.

Great shots Judy, the flower is so pretty. John is right, monochrome has a way of growing on you and becoming addictive. I've started shooting a lot of mine in black and white.
