My dog, Brownie was given to me as an early Christmas present three years ago. His mother is a chihuahua and his father was a Jack Russell, so my youngest son was able to purchase him for just $20.00. He has definitely been a gift that has kept on giving.
I heard a joke the other day, and while it may not be funny, there is some truth to it. . It goes something like this, a man asks his drinking buddies
"How can you tell if your wife or your dog loves you more?"
He tells them to throw both of them into their car trunk and leave them there for hours.
" Who do you think is happy to see you, when you open your trunk?"
Well, I do not think I would wag my tail, when my husband opened the trunk, but my dog always wags his. I'm surprised the darned thing doesn't fall off, as much as he wags it. His love is apparent, and that is one of the things I cherish most about him. That unconditional love thing he has going is definitely good for my ego. I love you, Brownie.
